PRISM’s revenue from operations zoomed 35% to ₹2,814 Cr in Q1 FY27 as against ₹2,078 Cr reported in the year ago quarter

The profitability came largely on the back of a deferred tax credit of nearly ₹244 Cr in the quarter under review and a sharp growth in the top line

The numbers come as PRISM is gearing up to list on the bourses. The startup has already filed its UDRHP with SEBI for a ₹6,650 Cr IPO, which will consist entirely of a fresh issue of shares

IPO-bound hospitality chain PRISMPRISM Datalabs_in-article-icon, the parent entity of OYO, reported a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of ₹353 Cr in the first quarter (Q1) of the fiscal year 2026-27 (FY27), up 17.3% from ₹301 Cr in the year-ago period.

According to PRISM’s audited financials seen by Inc42, the profitability came largely on the back of a deferred tax credit of nearly ₹244 Cr in the quarter under review.

Nevertheless, PRISM continued to grow its top line and generated an operating revenue of ₹2,814 Cr in Q1 FY27. This was nearly 35% higher than ₹2,078 Cr reported in the year ago quarter.

The IPO-bound startup also managed to improve its EBITDA by 24.3% to ₹760 Cr in the quarter under review as against ₹611 Cr in Q1 FY26. On the operational front, PRISM’s gross booking value (GBV) stood at nearly ₹9,600 Cr in the quarter ended June 2026, up nearly 30% from ₹7,408 Cr in Q1 FY26.

This is largely in line with what PRISM founder and CEO Ritesh Agarwal had said during the company’s extraordinary general meeting (EGM) in October this year.

“Our performance (in Q1 FY27) across segments on hotels or on vacation homes has demonstrated improving gross margins, higher operating earnings, even as we invest in expanding our brands and strengthening customer demand,” Agarwal had said then.

During the EGM, Agarwal also attributed PRISM’s performance to investments made in technology, brands and distribution capabilities over the past few years.

Founded in 2012 by Agarwal, OYO initially operated a budget hotel chain. It has since grown into a hospitality giant that offers holiday homes, coworking spaces, motels and corporate stays in more than 35 countries. The startup’s parent Oravel Stays rebranded to PRISM last year ahead of its initial public offering (IPO).

The startup has raised about $3.5 Bn in funding to date and counts the likes of SoftBank, Lightspeed India, Peak XV Partners and Microsoft among its backers.

The Q1 FY27 performance comes as PRISM is gearing up to list on the bourses. The hospitality giant first filed its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the SEBI via the confidential pre-filing route in December last year.

It then received the market regulator’s approval for its IPO in June this year. Right after, the startup filed its updated DRHP with SEBI for a ₹6,650 Cr IPO, which will comprise entirely of a fresh issue of shares.

The Ritesh Agarwal-led startup is said to be eyeing a valuation of $7 Bn to $8 Bn for the public issue.
