Uruguayan retail technology company Scanntech raised $180M in a round led by L Catterton, with participation from Partners Group y Bradesco.

The transaction consists of roughly equal amounts of new capital and secondary share sales. The new investors acquired a combined stake of approximately 30%. Warburg Pincus, which invested $40M in 2023, sold part of its stake but remains a shareholder.

Founded in 1992, Scanntech provides technology that collects retail sales data in real time, allowing retailers and consumer goods companies to track prices, sales volumes, market share, and promotional performance.

Scanntech will use the new capital to expand beyond its six existing markets: Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico. Scanntech plans to enter new markets starting in 2027.

Scanntech processes more than $200B in annual retail sales and is growing about 30% per year. Brazil is its largest market.
