Telepatia, a healthtech startup, raised a $33M Series A round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). Shyam Sankar, Simón Borrero, and David Vélez also participated in the round. The investment follows Telepatia’s seed round in October 2025

Telepatia is building a platform that combines AI-powered documentation, clinical decision support, and AI healthcare workers, including AI doctors, nurses, and auditors. Telepatia’s AI clinical assistant transcribes consultations in real time, reviews medical records, identifies potential drug interactions, and generates recommendations based on medical literature and clinical guidelines.

With the funds, Telepatia will expand across Latin America and also plans to enter other underserved healthcare markets, including India, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

Founded in 2025 by CEO Nicolas Abad, Telepatia has supported more than 14 million patients through over 25 public and private healthcare institutions across Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina.
