Early-stage venture capital (VC) firm Sadev Ventures has appointed ex-Snabbit executive Ishan Kansal as its cofounder and managing partner. Kansal will join the firm in early June 2026 and will be stationed in Bengaluru to establish Sadev’s second office in India.
The IIM Indore alumnus previously served as product head at quick services startup Snabbit, where he led product, data, and design. Prior to that, he spent nearly six years as a core early team member at CRED, scaling key product and business verticals in payments, insurance and lending.
Earlier in his career, he also had stints at Paytm and Deutsche Bank across India and APAC markets.
Sadev Ventures has onboarded Kansal amid its bid to significantly scale up operations. Over the next 18-24 months, the VC firm aims to cross ₹1,000 Cr in funds under management, launch its second equity fund as well as foray into the venture debt space.
“By integrating Ishan into our leadership, Sadev is substantially bolstering its capacity to identify extraordinary founders, evaluate companies through a pragmatic, operator-focused lens, and furnish critical support as they navigate the essential 0-to-1 and 1-to-10 stages of growth,” Sadev Ventures’ founder and managing partner Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl said.
Bahl, who previously served as the COO of BharatPe, set up Sadev Ventures as Eternal Capital in 2024. It is a sector-agnostic VC firm that focuses on startups between seed and pre-Series A stage, writing cheques between ₹2-10 Cr.
Sadev currently manages a corpus worth ₹240 Cr with a portfolio spanning early-stage startups such as Asaya, Cleevo, Vama, Gladful, and Prosperr. The firm has raised capital from LPs like MakeMyTrip founder Deep Kalra, Fixderma founder Shaily Mehrotra, Kotak Mahindra CMO Rohit Bhasin, BharatPe’s CEO Nalin Negi, and OTP Ventures’ Suhail Sameer, Saurabh Vashishtha, and Kunal Suri.
Recently, contract manufacturing startup Bidso recently raised a ₹63 Cr round led by Blume Ventures, with Sadev, an existing investor, participating.
A few months back, Sadev also participated in healthcare-focused fintech startup Care.Fi’s $8 Mn Series A funding round led by July Ventures, as well as speciality chemicals startup Atomgrid’s $7 Mn pre-Series A fundraise led by a99 VC.
