President Trump said Monday he would like to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un again, during a meeting at the White House with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung.

And he said the Department of Defense could be renamed the "Department of War" within the next week.

"We won the World War I, World War II, it was called he Department of War, and to me that's really what it is, and defense is part of that," he said.

"Probably that change is going to be made in the next week or so," he added.

Separately, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the mistakenly deported man sent to a notorious prison in El Salvador, dominated the news cycle.

U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis, an appointee of former President Obama, blocked Abrego Garcia’s deportation to Uganda until she can hold a hearing to determine whether the administration will let him contest his removal to the third country.

Earlier on Monday, Trump appeared to ease off his threat of a federal crackdown on crime in Democratic-run cities but is doubling down on his takeover of Washington, D.C.

“I don’t like going to a town, city, place, a state, and then be criticized by some corrupt or incompetent governor where crime is rampant,” Trump said.

Trump last week had indicated that he would turn his attention to Chicago next.

The president on Monday also signed a series of executive orders that aimed to end cashless bail, increase penalties for desecrating the American flag, and to establish “specialized units” in the National Guard equipped to deal with public order issues.
