ixigo reported a consolidated net profit of ₹63.4 Cr in Q2 FY27 against a loss of ₹3.5 Cr a year earlier

A ₹40.7 Cr exceptional gain linked to its Freshbus stake sale boosted profitability, although profit before exceptional items and tax also surged to ₹31 Cr.

Operating revenue increased 12.9% to ₹321 Cr during the quarter from ₹284.2 Cr in Q2 FY26 but declined 10% from ₹356.8 Cr

Online travel aggregator ixigoixigo Datalabs_in-article-icon swung to a consolidated net profit of ₹63.4 Cr in the September quarter of FY27 from a loss of ₹3.5 Cr a year earlier, helped by an exceptional gain linked to the sale of part of its stake in Freshbus.

The company’s operating revenue increased 12.9% to ₹321 Cr during the quarter from ₹284.2 Cr in Q2 FY26.

Sequentially, net profit rose 85.2% from ₹34.2 Cr, although operating revenue declined 10% from ₹356.8 Cr.

The bottom line received a boost from a ₹40.7 Cr exceptional gain following ixigo’s partial exit from electric bus operator Freshbus. The gain reflects both the stake sale and the remeasurement of its remaining investment.

ixigo sold Freshbus shares for ₹36.6 Cr in August, reducing its holding to 8.27% from 25.66%. Consequently, Freshbus ceased to be an associate of the company.

Before exceptional items and tax, ixigo posted a profit of ₹31 Cr against a loss of ₹4 Cr in the year-ago quarter. However, this was lower than the ₹44.2 Cr recorded in Q1 FY27.

Including other income of ₹22.1 Cr, total income for the quarter stood at ₹343 Cr as against ₹289.4 in Q2 FY26.
