NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha said that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have emerged as the key drivers behind economic development in the country as they provide employment in both rural and urban areas.

Addressing in a press conference at the Collectorate here on Thursday, the Collector said that MSMEs play a vital role in the growth of a country’s Gross Domestic Product as they absorb local talent, promote self-employment and industrial development.

To bring together experienced industrialists and aspiring entrepreneurs on a single platform and to encourage them, the district administration will organise MSME Utsav-2026 on June 27 (Saturday), marking International MSME Day, at the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) in Enikepadu, the Collector said.

He added that the event will also provide an opportunity for youngsters to transform their ideas into reality and also showcase their products at exhibition stalls at the fair. He urged the youth to make most of the opportunities.

RTIH Vijayawada CEO G. Krishnan, A.P. MSME Industries Association president D. Durgaprasad, District Industries Officer M. Madhu and company representatives took part in the press conference.
