All the beneficiaries who successfully completed the registration of Settipalli lands received registration documents from the hands of MA&UD Minister Ponguru Narayana and district in-charge and Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad at a function organised by Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) at Kachchapi Auditorium in Tirupati on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satya Prasad said, “The main goal of the State government is to make the dream of owning a house a reality for the poor people. A house is the foundation of a dignified life for every family. So, the government has paid special attention to providing house plots and housing construction facilities to the deserving poor.”
“The eligible beneficiaries are being identified transparently in Settipalli area and house titles are being distributed. Revenue Department is playing a key role in resolving land-related issues quickly and providing rights to the poor. The State government is using technology to provide better services to the people by regularising land records in villages and towns,” the Minister added.
The Revenue Minister assured that the beneficiaries who received the house titles should move forward with confidence and that the government will support them in every way. He said that not only the house plot but also the necessary infrastructure, roads, drinking water and electricity will be developed in phases.
Meanwhile, Minister Narayana said, “The Settipalli land issue, which has been going on for over 70 years, came to the notice of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in 2014 and he ordered an immediate resolution of the issue, after which a survey was conducted. Later, in 2024, he instructed the Revenue Minister to resolve the issue, and he immediately issued orders to the District Collector.”
“As a result, the registration process has sSettipalli lands: Registration documents distributed to beneficiariestarted for the 2,048 beneficiaries in Settipalli. The Chief Minister has also resolved land problems that have been pending for more than 40 years in Nellore city constituency. Similarly, wherever such a problem exists in the State, steps have been taken to resolve it immediately through the land acquisition process,” he added.
